this thing is awesome.

this guy has a lot of nerve showing up to the site of martin luther king’s death on the anniversary of his murder. mccain voted against mlk day in arizona in 1983. as john amoto points out over at crooksandliars, mccain was nearly 50 years old when he was against the tribute to one of the most important americans ever. he was no kid trying to make a name for himself, he really felt it wasn’t a worthy idea. what a chump. i’m posting public enemy’s video in response to those like mccain who opposed the holiday back then. they had it right then, and it applies right now.

for those of you in the bay area, detroit7 is playing at the independent tonight as part of the japan nite tour. i’ve been hearing great things about the show so swing on by and check it out. maybe you can buy me a beer!

promo video for japanese rockers detroit7. if you like them, be on the lookout for them next month as they’ll be touring the united states as part of the “japan nite 2008 tour“. i have not seen them yet, but plan on being there when they come to san francisco. the heavy riff oriented sound should play well live and tomomi nabana has a great voice that i’m betting will sound great live as well.

i’m posting these campaign songs because i heard them on npr’s weekend edition today. it had me laughing hard, so i figured i’d share it for those who didn’t catch it.
this huckabee one makes one wonder why he isn’t surging in the primaries.
