the man who invented lsd, albert hoffman, has died at age 102. that guy left quite a legacy. while he defended lsd, he did admit, in the wrong hands, its a very dangerous drug. i had one or two good times with it and a couple of really bad times. i wouldn’t do it again personally, but i wouldn’t tell someone not to do it either.

police arrested amy winehouse who got all out of control in the wee hours of wednesday morning in london hitting people at pool tables and head butting people trying to get her a cab. jeez, you’d think she was on crack or something with that kind of nasty behavior.

it’s been a good year for chef michael symon. he won the food networks next iron chef competition and is now an iron chef and now he takes over the “dinner impossible” show from disgraced personality robert irvine.

senator clinton freaks out olbermann last night on countdown. why does this clinton lady always cackle that fake ass laugh when she’s put on the spot about something that exposes her as a hypocitical, ruthless, whatever it takes to win cynic? maybe richard wolffe is correct in saying it’s a nervous tic. whatever it is, it’s really annoying in that it demeans the person asking the question and creepy in that she appears like a maniacal lunatic. just the type of person we need running the country, a dismissive lunatic. oh wait….we’ve got one of those now.

abc debate fiasco

man, for a guy who’s supposed to be an astute and sober anchor, charlie gibson sank to the levels of everything that is terrible with so called journalism these days. along with george stephahoohoofolousis they turned what should have been a chance to really catch up on 2 politicians and have them define their positions as opposed to john mccain (iraq, the housing crisis, the economy, torture, etc etc) and instead took a page right out of right wing gonzo television news. it was hard to keep a straight face as charlie went to the pressing question from some woman in pennsylvania that just had to have an answer on obama’s lack of flag pins on his suit. or when stephahoohoofolousis brought up nefarious connections to 60’s underground radicals! and, having not heard enough about the reverend wright, abc made sure we heard another 10 minutes or so on that subject. and what was with gibson getting his panties in a bunch over his capital gains taxes? someone showed he’s the one who’s out of touch. what a bunch of hacks. i don’t watch abc or nbc or cbs but i will never watch abc news after that crap.
